Circa 1950s, this sweet piece was designed by Fred Zimbalist, a cousin of Ephrem Zimbalist, Sr. (the famed concert violinist).
Silver pieces such as this one were all Hand tooled in India and no two were exactly the same.
Made of brass with silver nickel plating, a 2 1/2" golf ball and two irons sit on a 4" equilateral triangle and features ornate tooling to resemble the aerodynamic dimples on the ball. The hinged lid when lifted will activate the melody "Some Enchanted Evening." The Interior compartment will hold little things, such as paper clips and or stamps. A great gift for the golfer in your life.
