One of Reuge's more recent  and remarkable creations from the Reuge Contemporary Collection, this modern day automaton of wheat moving in the breeze reminds us of the spiritual beauty of nature.

Harmony with nature lies at the heart of the REUGE philosophy. Through its quest for noble materials and fine wood, the brand has proven time and again that its work is anchored in the respect for the beautiful surroundings of Jura, Switzerland. “Slightly Windy” was conceived by REUGE to be in total harmony with nature, especially echoing the natural surroundings of that region in Switzerland.

For each Automaton, Reuge has selected twelve stems of wheat from the nearby fields of Sainte-Croix, preserved and solidified them through a specific treatment so that they would become a permanent spectacle and linked the musical mechanism to automation that agitates the wheat stems just so, reproducing their organic sway to the local natural breezes. 
Measurements: 20cm x 16 cm x 62cm.

"Slightly Windy" presents a mesmerizing show of sound and motion. "Autumn Leaves", "What a Wonderful World" and "Summertime" are the perfect melodies to accompany such a visual treat.
