Hand Painted Flowers on Forest Green Musical Carousel Mosque
Hand Painted Flowers on Forest Green Musical Carousel Mosque
Interor view with ballerina inside of carousel mosgue.

floral design on dark green with Silver Trim Carousel Mosque.

This is one of the earlier Reuge Gargoyle footed carousel mosques in forest green with hand painted flowers on its six doors and around the base, all in very good condition; however, somehow the silver plated trim did not hold up over the years as well as it could have.  It's mostly nice and shiny inside and out, very clean on the inside but many little blemishes on the outside that don't seem to polish out.  Its Reuge 18 note movement plays "I could have Danced All Night" as the doors open and "On The Street Where You Live" as the doors close. A perfect silver plated ballerina revolves inside.

The image is slightly lighter than the actual piece in an attempt to show the silver plated trim. It shows some age as described on the silver plated metal but no chips dents or scratches.

Educated guess dates this piece to late 1940's. Dimensions: 6 1/2" in diameter and stands 11 high.
To date, we've only had one piece of this kind.
