Italian Marquetry Inlaid Scene of Italy (1.18)

This Italian scene is a unique example of masterful Italian marquetry.

The lid of this handsome jewelry box depicts a lovely waterfront home with steps down to the water, an  overhead archway, and in a distance a bit of smoke rising from an active volcano. 

 It's outside measurements are 8" x 5" x 2 1/2" while its interior compartment with ring bar measures 4" x 3 1/2". It is lined in a deep wine red, has a lock & key and stands on little brass feet.   We suggest the tunes "Arrivederci Roma" or "Torna A Sorrento"....but you may select any tune that is in stock from our 18 note tune list.
