This Beautiful Music Box features a Jingle Bells movement, circa 1950. Perfect for the collector, a bit of Music Box history. This is a rare Reuge mechanism with an open main spring and a cylinder with a bit larger circumference which plays more of the melody than 1.18 mechanisms of today. It dates back to the earliest of Reuge movements and is in excellent almost mint condition. We've placed it in one of our best selling music boxes. Our glass music box that features beveled glass on all four sides and top, that measures 2" x 3" x 1.5" will display this "almost antique" in its full glory. These mechanisms are about a generation or two shy of being 100 years old and in amazingly clean, almost new condition. In fact it is old new stock, never sold.
We found about 20 of these mechanisms in a special purchase that we recently made. They play "Jingle Bells" Just in time for a unique Christmas present for the Antique Collector.
