This item has been sold but we have left it posted for reference.Circa early 1950s, this lovely piece was designed by Fred Zimbalist, a cousin of Ephrem Zimbalist, Sr. (the famed concert violinist).
Silver pieces such as this one was all Hand tooled in India and no two were exactly the same.
The mechanism has been re-dampered and the Brass cabinet with silver nickel plating with its ornate tooling has been cleaned and Polished. It measures approximately 3 1/2" wide x 2 3/4' back to front x 1 3/4 high. Open the lid to view the mechanism as it plays. A great gift for the French Horn player in your life.
