By Reuge, this beautiful curved, rococo style music box in rosewood with inlaid burl elm panels bordered by walnut with black accents is adorned with a fine floral and genuine mother-of-pearl inlay on its lid.
It plays three parts of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb Minor, Opus 23. A tune indicator behind the movement shows which part of the melody is being played. It has a high gloss finish and measures 10" x 7 1/2" x 3 3/4".
No longer available from Reuge but we have one left.
Interesting note: This Concerto was composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky between November 1874 and February 1875. It was revised in the summer of 1879 and again in December 1888. The first version receiving heavy criticism from Nikolai Rubinstein (not related to Arthur Rubinstein) who was Tchaikovsky's desired pianist. Wikipedia
