It can also be used for a figurine on additional platform to allow the figurine to revolve above the base.
(mechanism must be installed upside down, so that winding accessablilty faces upward. The platform will then substitute for the key.)

It can be used as non-revolving, placing the figurine on platform so as to cover the hole and to be wound from the bottom
We don't recommend placing the mechanism right side up and substituting a platform key for the winding key on the bottom.
It would allow the entire piece to revolve but it would have to clear the three little feet.
