This time, LP RhythMix has outdone itself with the LP RhythMix 12-Piece World Rhythm Kit. It contains a large selection of favorite, child-friendly colorful instruments.
Note that all of the innovative instruments can be packed up and carried off in the handy tote (included). The Tambourine was designed with kids in mind. It features durable plastic construction and no sharp edges as found on conventional tambourine jingles. Rather, RhythMix jingles are "captured" in durable "compartments". Similarly, the delightful Jing-a-ling is a reinvented classic that, again, features captured jingles to protect children's delicate hands. To play it, a child simply grasps the handle and jingles-along!
The X-Drum and Drumstick is played by grasping the X-shaped handle and striking with the included stick; the X-handle doubles as a base. The Frame Drum and Drumstick is an attractively decorated version of indigenous instruments found the world over. The height is an easily-manageable 2" and the drum is fitted with a 7" synthetic head for maximum longevity, secured by a brightly colored plastic rim.
Moving on to another favorite, the Güiro Shaker, which is, in fact, two instruments in one-a güiro for scraping and a shaker for...shaking! And something new to our line up: a Triangle with a durable plastic grip, handle and featuring a curved-safety tip on the striker. Large and Small Tone Blocks emit compelling pitched tones and are durable and dishwasher-safe. The kit wouldn't be complete without Egg Shakers and contains two, constructed of durable, wipe-free plastic and filled with non-toxic steel shot. And finally, a real kids' favorite: a Tri-Tone Samba Whistle. By placing fingers in various configurations over side chamber holes, children will delight to three distinct, vibrant tones.
