This is Enesco's "The Majestic Ferris Wheel" Circa 1991. It is one of many vintage pieces ( that weren't vintage when we were selling them in our store in Port Washington NY) that we have found again in one of our unopened cartons from our move to Florida. It has never been removed from it's box. The box is shop worn but everything else in the box is untouched.
In its cleverly hidden full size cassette tape player, it plays 10 assorted tunes from a cassette which include: Entrance of the Gladiators, Skater's Waltz, The Blue Danube, Waiting for The Robert E. Lee, Alexander's Rag Time Band, Spanish Love
This nostalgic reproduction boasts realistic action with colored lights that twinkle and little people who sway back and forth in their gondolas. They even have facial expressions and gestures showing their excitement. Even The ride's gears have been replicated with keen detail. Standing 14" high it is an authentic reproduction of turn-of-the-century design and by the way earned several design awards and honors. It has its original papers and directions and is ready to delight!
